In 1983, Debbie Zissman and her mother opened local chocolate shop Chocolate Designs in Houston, Texas. In 1999 Debbie and her husband, Edward, founded DGZ Chocolates and developed new recipes for their signature items. After selling Chocolate Designs in 2001, the chocolatiers concentrated their efforts entirely on DGZ Chocolates. In 2018, Debbie sold the business to her friend Sara Ostrofsky, who operates the business with her daughters, building upon the wonderful foundation that Debbie and her husband established. DGZ Chocolates continues to be a family owned business and provides the finest Houston toffee and tasty treats to chocolate lovers nation-wide.
Our signature products include our award winning toffee, Toffarazzi, and a fan favorite sweet and salty confection, Poparazzi. These and many other products are made from the finest basic ingredients available - rich Swiss-recipe chocolates, freshly roasted nuts, dairy fresh butter and creamy smooth caramel. We also offer custom chocolates and packaging that make perfect wedding favors, special occasion gifts, and corporate gifts.
